Cylinders

Cylinders can be tricky to order unless you have a cheat sheet, so we've provided one below.  Note that mortise cylinders come in various lengths, with 1-1/8'' and 1-1/4'' being the most popular by far.  When in doubt, order the 1-1/4'' length.

Note that mortise cylinders are standardized among manufacturers with the same housing diameter and threading used by all brands.  This mean you can remove a Corbin Russwin cylinder and replace it with a Schlage cylinder, for example.
