Keyway Tips: The old Schlage standard keyway was called the ”C” keyway, and millions of these keys are around today. That is why Schlage changed their standar keyway to ”C123” a few years back.
There are also keyway variations from the standard for those who need a more unique keyway. For example, old keyways still available include C, E, F, G, H, CE, EF, FG, GH.
Many times, you can find the keyway stamped right on the key itself.
