Control Keys are used with IC cores. This special key has an elongated tip that allows for the insertion or removal of the core. That is its only job. A standard key is then used for everyday operation.
The Everest C Series is Schlage’s new standard for commercial locks, replacing the old ”C” series keys.
New locks ordered today come with Everest C123 keyway cylinders standard. Other Everest C keyways are available as well as listed above.
Schlage original keyblanks are made from brass (and several alloys to strengthen the metal) to provide years of service.
When commercial locks are ordered they come standard with two 6-pin keys.
Large institutions such as hospitals and universities often use a 7-pin system as they have many lock combinations, too many for 6-pin systems. 7-pin blanks can also be special ordered by calling us.
If you are unsure of your keyway look on the back of the key for a stamp.
